Peek-a-boo Sun
A new experience of catching sunlight from behind a tree and the glow it creates on the leaves.
A few weeks back I was hiking alone through a lovely park on the eastern edge of Marshall county Indiana. It had been years since I had been to the Potawatomi Wildlife Park in town of Tippecanoe. It was sunny, and yet a cooler summer afternoon.
I had a quiet and peaceful walk in solitude until I made friends with a stray cat. He followed me around for awhile. Seemed like he needed the company. The park had a series of ponds near the river.
This painting was of a tree along the banks of the biggest one.
8x10 oil painting on gesso board.
