Twice Breathless

$600.00

One evening as my wife and I were heading back to our campsite, we found a rustic dirt road called the Old Fall River Road in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was a one way road that is only open from July to September.

As we neared the end of our ascent we parked alongside of the road and hiked up to what seemed like a nearby peak. We were nearing an altitude of 12,000 feet and could tell from our breathing that the air was getting much thinner. We needed sporadic breaks to catch our breath. When we reached our peak we were once again made breathless but this time it was from the beauty of the view.

From our vantage point we could see row upon row of mountain tops that were speckled in color and shadows of the golden hour. In one direction a storm front could be seen as a darkness of the raincloud that stood out in contrast to the bright blue skies where the clouds were breaking.
