Dream Lake
This oil painting began as an en plein air study during my visit to Rocky Mountain NP. I did the first block in of colors with the lake and mountain in front of me and finished up the details at home in my studio. First time I attempted plein air painting. It was a lot to take in for a Midwest artist .
This location is a very popular hiking destination within the park. I had several visitors while painting this ask to photograph me while doing my work. It was a neat experience and fun to share with others.
